Join the Spartans of Hiking in London for a 4-day, 3-night escape through Luxembourg’s “Little Switzerland.” Covering 38 km on Route 2 of the Mullerthal Trail, we’ll stay overnight in Echternach, Berdorf and Consdorf. Expect mystical forests, striking rock formations and the famous Hohllay Cave, all capped off by hearty evening gatherings!

Day 1 – Saturday, 23 May 2026 – Arrival in Echternach
Morning: Fly into Luxembourg City, then transfer by bus or train to Echternach.
Afternoon: Stroll the historic old town—visit the abbey church, medieval walls and riverside promenade.
Evening:Dinner of Judd mat Gaardebounen at a local tavern, with a toast of craft beer or Moselle wine.
Day 2 – Sunday, 24 May 2026 – Echternach to Berdorf (~19 km)
Start: After a full breakfast, set off along the river Sûre into dense woodlands.
Highlights: Red sandstone cliffs, riverside footbridges and hidden gorges—ideal for epic photos.
Finish: Arrive in Berdorf, check in and celebrate with local specialties around a communal table.
Day 3 – Monday, 25 May 2026 – Berdorf to Consdorf via Hohllay (~19 km)
Morning: Climb past deep gorges to the enormous Hohllay Cave—light shafts through its “windows” are spectacular.
Lunch: Snack on Gromperekichelcher and sip Moselle wine in a meadow picnic.
Afternoon: Follow rolling trails through beech groves down to Consdorf for an evening of rest.
Day 4 – Tuesday, 26 May 2026 – Return to Echternach & Departure
Morning: Easy hike back to Echternach, with a stop at the Saturday market and the Sprangprëssessioun hopping procession.
Midday: Final treat—Quetschentaart (plum tart) and coffee.
Afternoon: Transfer to Luxembourg City for flights home; depart with Spartan spirit and great stories.
