4-Day Hiking Adventure in Tenerife – Hiking in London Club
Day 1 – Arrival and First Impressions
We’ll kick off our adventure arriving in Tenerife and heading straight to the north-west of the island. Our base will be close to the picturesque village of Masca, known for its dramatic cliffs and traditional houses. In the afternoon, we’ll stroll through its viewpoints, soak up the views, and enjoy our first group dinner while we go over the plan for the days ahead.
Today is all about one of Tenerife’s most iconic trails – the Masca Gorge. Early in the morning we’ll head to the official pick-up point to take the authorized transport to the start of the trail. The hike takes us down through breathtaking scenery all the way to the beach, and then back up the same path (around 10 km in total). Expect roughly 6–7 hours of hiking, with plenty of stops for breaks and photos along the way.
If you’re feeling like changing it up, there’s an optional boat ride back to Los Gigantes from the beach – the views from the sea are incredible!
Next stop: the legendary Barranco del Infierno (Hell’s Ravine). Don’t let the name scare you – it’s one of the most beautiful protected areas on the island. This hike is about 6.5 km round trip and usually takes 3 to 3.5 hours. The trail winds through lush landscapes and ends with a dramatic waterfall. Helmets are required on this route, but don’t worry – they’re provided at the start.
In the afternoon, we’ll unwind in the south, with free time to explore Costa Adeje or simply relax at the accommodation.
Day 4 – Chill Day in the South
After two epic hikes, it’s time to relax. We’ll spend the day enjoying the beaches and vibe of southern Tenerife – Costa Adeje, Playa de las Américas or Los Cristianos are perfect spots to swim, walk along the coast, or grab some local food with sea views. The perfect way to wrap up the trip before heading back home.
Good to Know
All hikes are guided by María and Thomas from Hiking in London Club. Thomas will also be capturing the trip with photos and video, so you can relive the experience later. We’ll handle all the reservations and permits – just bring your hiking shoes, sunscreen, water and some snacks, and be ready for an unforgettable adventure.

Not Included:
- Flights: Participants must book and pay for their own flights (London ↔ Tenerife). Recommended flight times will be provided.
- Dinners: Group dinners are organized but payable separately (approx. local rates).
- Lunches, snacks, and drinks: Not included – you can bring your own or buy locally.
- Travel Insurance: Highly recommended but not included.
To secure your spot, pay a £200 deposit now. The remaining balance will be due one month before the event.
