Ready for an adventure you’ll never forget? The English Way (Camino Inglés) is calling! This year, your guides Maria and Thomas will lead you through five epic days of hiking, laughs, stunning Galician scenery, culture, and the best company.

The Plan: 5 Days, 5 Stages, and Plenty of Stories
Day 1: Ferrol → PontedeumeDistance: 27.7 km
Highlights: Coastal landscapes, beaches, forests, and charming villages.
Walking: 6–7 hours
Start bonding and break in those boots.
Day 2: Pontedeume → Betanzos
Distance: 19.7 km
Highlights: A shorter day, perfect for relaxing and exploring Betanzos’ historic old town.
Walking: 4–5 hours
Pro tip: Try the famous local tortilla.
Day 3: Betanzos → Hospital de Bruma
Distance: 24 km
Highlights: Nature, forests, and total disconnection.
Walking: 5–6 hours
Experience the real pilgrim spirit.
Day 4: Hospital de Bruma → Sigüeiro
Distance: 24.4 km
Highlights: More villages, gentle hills, and warm Galician hospitality.
Walking: 5–6 hours
Keep your camera ready for the views.
Day 5: Sigüeiro → Santiago de Compostela
Distance: 15.7 km
Highlights: Triumphant arrival, all the emotions, and a group selfie at Plaza del Obradoiro.
Walking: 3–4 hours
Tears, hugs, and long live the Spartans.

What to Pack? The Spartan List
Essentials:- Small backpack (20–30L): For daily essentials like water, snacks, rain gear, camera, etc.
- Technical hiking clothes: Breathable, quick-dry, and lightweight.
- Club T-shirt (you’ll get one at check-in, bring a spare if you wish).
- Comfortable pants: Both long and short, depending on the weather.
- Technical underwear (bring a few sets—sweat is real).
- Trekking socks (at least 3 pairs, to avoid blisters).
- Well-broken-in hiking boots (do not wear new boots!).
- Sandals or trainers for evenings.
- Rain jacket or poncho (Galicia can surprise you with showers).
- Light fleece or jacket for chilly mornings and nights.
- Cap or hat for sun protection.
- Sunglasses and sunscreen.
- Basic toiletry bag: toothbrush, soap, deodorant, microfiber towel (not all hostels provide one).
- Reusable water bottle.
- Trekking poles (optional, but very helpful on hills).
- Earplugs (for snoring roommates in the hostel).
- Power bank for your phone.
- Energy snacks (bars, dried fruit, nuts, etc.).
- Mini first-aid kit: plasters, compeed, paracetamol, anti-chafing cream.
- Tissues or toilet paper (just in case).
- Book or notebook for your Camino thoughts.
- Pegs or safety pins for hanging laundry (quick drying if you wash anything).
- Cash (not every small town has ATMs).
Common Questions from Spartans
Can I join if I’ve never done a long-distance walk?Yes. The pace is manageable, you’ll have support, and we stick together. All you need is enthusiasm and a positive attitude.
What if I have questions or problems on the route?
Maria is always reachable, and Thomas is usually somewhere with his camera. You’ll never be alone.
How about meals?
Breakfast is included. For lunch and dinner, we improvise and try the best local food. Maria always knows where to find great tortilla and octopus.
Do I need travel insurance?
It’s not mandatory, but we strongly recommend it for your peace of mind. You can check our suggestion above.
