About This Event

Join us for a perfect combination of a scenic countryside walk. This full-day adventure is your chance to reconnect with nature, immerse yourself in local culture, and savor some of the finest seafood Whitstable has to offer!

Route Highlights

This adventure starts in the historic market town of Faversham, leading you through peaceful fields and picturesque coastal paths. We’ll finish in the seaside town of Whitstable, a destination renowned for its charming character, fresh oysters, and maritime heritage.

Upon arriving in Whitstable, enjoy exploring this charming seaside town famous for its fresh oysters, colourful harbour, and quaint streets filled with independent shops and cafes. Take a stroll along the beach, relax by the sea, or treat yourself to delicious local seafood — the perfect way to end the hike.

Meeting Points

Route plan — quick take

We’re heading out for a full day in the countryside: fresh air, good vibes, and plenty of photo moments. We’ll keep a steady pace with a picnic stop halfway, so bring something you’ll enjoy eating outdoors.

Leaders are first-aid trained and carry a first aid kit. We’re a non-profit registered with the BMC — see details here: BMC registration.

Useful info

  • Group train tickets: we travel together there and back from the same station.
  • Going solo: if you plan to return separately or get off elsewhere, please buy your own individual ticket in advance.

Prices

What to bring

  • Comfortable clothing and walking footwear; hiking boots if you have them.
  • Waterproof jacket and trousers recommended; waterproof shoes if possible.
  • Water (at least 1 litre, ideally 2).
  • Lunch for the picnic stop.
  • Some money for the pub afterwards (optional).

Dogs are welcome, on lead at all times.
