ROUTE PLAN — QUICK TAKE
We’re heading out for a full day in the countryside: fresh air, good vibes, and plenty of photo moments. We’ll keep a steady pace, with a picnic stop halfway, so bring something you’ll enjoy eating outdoors.
SAFETY
Leaders are first-aid trained and carry a first aid kit. We are a non-profit organisation registered with the BMC (British Mountaineering Council) — see details here: BMC registration.
USEFUL INFO
- Group train tickets: we travel together there and back from the same station.
- Going solo: if you plan to return separately or get off elsewhere, please buy your individual ticket in advance.
- Our routes are inspired by and sometimes adapted from Saturday Walkers Club.
PRICES
- Members: FREE (with active membership — join here)
- Non-members: as shown at the top of this page
WHAT TO BRING
- Comfortable clothing and walking footwear (hiking boots if you have them).
- Waterproof jacket and trousers recommended; waterproof shoes if possible.
- Water (at least 1 litre, ideally 2).
- Lunch for the picnic stop.
- Some money for the pub afterwards (optional).
PETS
Dogs are welcome, but must be kept on a lead at all times. Read more here: Dog Policy.
