Adult Participation Requirement

Hiking in London specializes in adult excursions. All participants must be at least 18 years old to book or join our trips. Minors are welcome but must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Pet Policy

While pets are permitted on certain trips, they must remain securely leashed at all times for safety reasons. This helps prevent distractions and potential hazards to other participants.

Compliance and Refund Policy

Non-compliance with these regulations will result in denial of trip participation, and no refunds will be issued under these circumstances.

Agreement to Terms

By booking or participating in a trip organized by Hiking in London Ltd, you agree to adhere to these Terms and Conditions.

Bookings on Behalf of Others

If you book on behalf of another individual, you affirm that you have the authority to accept these Terms on their behalf, and you become the primary contact for all related matters.

Medical Conditions and Emergency Treatment

It is crucial for your safety and that of others that you are medically fit for your chosen trip. Inform us at least 7 days prior to the trip about any medical or other conditions that may impact your or others' enjoyment, such as asthma, diabetes, or allergies. Contact us before booking if you have a condition that could affect others' health or safety.

First Aid

Our hikes are led by trained leaders, most of whom are Mountain Leader certified and qualified in Outdoor Activity First Aid. In emergencies, you consent to receiving First Aid from trained personnel and to medical treatment administered by local Emergency Services if deemed necessary.

Personal Statement and Insurance

Participation in Hiking in London activities, including hiking and yoga, involves inherent risks, which you acknowledge and accept. You confirm your medical fitness for these activities and assume responsibility for your safety. Adequate travel insurance is mandatory for foreign trips (outside the UK), and proof of such insurance must be carried during the trip. Failure to comply with insurance requirements can lead to cancellation of your booking without a refund.

Payment and Refunds

Deposits for overnight trips are non-refundable and non-transferable. Full payment must be made by the specified deadline, or the booking will be cancelled without a refund. For day trips, payments are also non-refundable and non-transferable. However, if the trip is fully booked, you may sell your space following our specified procedure.

Cancellation or Alteration of Trips

Trips may be altered or cancelled due to weather or other safety considerations. We reserve the right to cancel trips under certain circumstances, including force majeure. Decisions by trip leaders regarding participant behavior or safety must be respected, and non-compliance can result in expulsion from the trip without a refund.

Clothing and Equipment

Participants are responsible for wearing suitable attire and bringing necessary equipment for their chosen activities. Inadequate preparation may lead to exclusion from the event without a refund.

Photography Consent

Images of you taken during trips may be used for promotional purposes. If you do not consent to this, please inform us in writing within 10 working days of the trip.

Privacy Policy

Your personal information will be used solely for trip operations and may be shared with necessary parties. We maintain confidentiality of your details except as required by law.

Jurisdiction

This contract is governed by English Law, and any disputes will be settled under the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
